Shell da BASF suna haɗin gwiwa don hanzarta sauyawa zuwa duniyar da ba ta fitar da hayaki mai gurbata muhalli ba. Don haka, kamfanonin biyu suna yin nazari tare, ragewa da kuma aiwatar da fasahar shaƙar iskar gas ta Sorbead® ta BASF don kamawa da adana carbon (CCS) kafin da bayan ƙonewa. Kamfanin Marubeni da kamfanin Peru LNG sun sanya hannu kan yarjejeniyar bincike ta hadin gwiwa don fara bincike na farko kan wani aiki a Peru don samar da e-methane daga hydrogen kore da carbon dioxide.
